Choose the feel you prefer
Dr. MUD positions its body lotion as a lighter daily step and shea body butter as a richer texture for dry-feeling areas. Both are left on the skin.
For easy spreading over a larger area after showering, start by comparing the lotion. For a richer feel on particular dry areas, look at the butter. Your choice ultimately depends on how the texture feels on your own skin.
| Comparison | Body lotion | Shea body butter |
|---|---|---|
| MILITA size | 100 ml | 300 g |
| Texture direction | Lighter daily care | Richer body care |
| Example ingredients | Glycerin, mineral, olive and avocado oils | Shea butter, oils, honey and beeswax |
| Use | Spread and leave on | Massage in and leave on |
Look beyond the product name
The lotion declaration includes glycerin, mineral oil, petrolatum, olive oil and avocado oil. The butter’s list also features shea butter, honey, beeswax and a coconut-oil component.
The butter should not be presented as vegan because it contains honey and beeswax. Both formulas contain other components, so check the complete INCI against your preferences. The name “butter” does not establish the percentage of an individual ingredient.
Using it after a shower
Gently pat the skin dry after washing and apply your chosen body product. The AAD’s general dry-skin advice favors moisturizing while skin is still slightly damp. Continue to follow the particular product’s package directions.
Start with a smaller amount rather than taking a large portion immediately. Spread it where needed. Separate hand and foot products are available in the range; their intended areas and packaging may suit your routine, but you do not have to buy all of them.
Fragrance and comfort
If fragrance is unsuitable for you, read the declaration first. These Dr. MUD products are not automatically fragrance-free because their names mention minerals or plant ingredients.
For dry, sensitive skin, the AAD generally recommends fragrance-free care. This is a general selection principle rather than an endorsement of these products. Ask MILITA for a current label before buying if fragrance-free formulation is a requirement.
An extra ritual is optional
Bath salt, scrub and body mud can be separate rinse-off steps, but they do not replace your chosen leave-on care. After rinsing, choose one moisturizing texture you enjoy.
Read the bath and foot-soak guide for salt use. To compare a particular ingredient or vitamin form, open the INCI explanation and corresponding product page.
